FeelitLIVE Announces Britain’s Top Choirs™ 2023

FeelitLIVE, Inc. announces the inaugural season of Britain’s Top Choirs™ - the largest and most inclusive online choral competition in the United Kingdom.


Menlo Park, CA - FeelitLIVE, Inc., the creators of the FeelitLIVE virtual and hybrid digital entertainment platform, has announced Britain’s Top ChoirsTM - the largest and most inclusive online choral competition in the United Kingdom. In its inaugural season, Britain’s Top Choirs™ shines a spotlight on choirs that generate beautiful music every day and embody teamwork, resilience, talent, diversity, hope, and positivity.

Choirs from the country are invited to upload a song performance recorded and performed between September 1, 2021 - February 10, 2023. The Registration fee is £50, and submissions must be received on or before Friday, February 10, 2023.

A jury of leading choral experts will evaluate the entries and shortlist the finalists participating in Britain’s Top Choirs™ Virtual Grand Finale event on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 8 pm GMT, and the winner will be revealed.

The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen and announced at the Grand Finale based on both the judges' scores and the audience votes.

The entry with the highest score will be named Britain's Top Choirs™ 2023 winner and will receive the following:

  • A £2,000 cash prize
  • An opportunity to claim their Xperience Hub (a branded digital home for your choir) on FeelitLIVE - worth £300 per year
  • Host a live or on-demand event using the Pro Plan (>£400 in value) features for FREE on FeelitLIVE

The Judges

  • Hillary Campbell - Conductor Hilary Campbell has two master's degrees, one in conducting from the Royal Academy of Music and one, with distinction, in vocal studies at the University of York. She has also done post-graduate work in singing at Trinity College of Music. In 2012 she returned to the Royal Academy of music as a Meaker Fellow. Campbell has also served as musical director of the Bristol Choral Society, the Chiswick Choir, and the Music Makers of London. Her arrangement of God Save the Queen was performed on the ITV1 television network and at Wimbledon New Theatre in honour of the 60th birthday of the Prince of Wales.

  • Neil Ferris - Neil Ferris is the Artistic Director and conductor of the professional chamber choir Sonoro and the Music Director of Wimbledon Choral Society. In 2017 he was appointed the new Chorus Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus and guest conductor of the National Youth Choir of Wales. Neil has conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, New Queens Hall Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Orchestra of the Swan, Orchestra Vitae, and Florilegium. He made his Royal Opera House debut in a ROH2 production of Will Tuckett’s ballet The Wind in the Willows.

  • Dr. Manvinder Rattan - Dr. Manvinder Rattan has served as Musical Director of the John Lewis Partnership Music Society since 1995. Manvinder is also CEO and Head of Conductor Training for Sing for Pleasure. In 2012, Manvinder was invited to join Gareth Malone as he filmed his next series of 'The Choir.' In 2014 he formed his own professional chamber choir, Serafine, and chamber orchestra, Serafine Sinfonia, with whom he recorded Oliver Tarney's Magnificat, to critical acclaim. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by his Alma Mater, York St John University, in recognition of his achievements in music and conducting.
